Lid too difficult to remove The size of the cup is perfect but the lid is way too hard to get off. I cannot imagine getting the lid off without spilling the contents. Also the handle is a little small for the size of the mug. I like the cup but the lid is impossible. I was disappointed with this product.
Great mugLousy lid I got this for work and the size of this mug is perfect for most things and the handle stays cool enough to use with bare hands. The lid is a great concept but it is not stain or odor resistant. After I heated up some pulled pork in it the lid has smelled like hickory and has been stained by the BBQ sauce. I was also not sure what type of plastic the lid was made with. I did not see any recognizable recycle marks on the lid. It's made in the USA so I'm not that worried. I'm still glad I have it. I just have to put the lid in my drawer when eating cereal so I don't smell the hickory. Hickory is not a pleasant morning odor.
great little mug I bought this to cook frozen veggies in the microwave. The handle makes it easier to get ahold of with a pot holder. It works great for what I bought it for.
CorningWare French White 20 Ounce Mug I love this mug. I ordered two and may order two more. The mug holds a microwavable Healthy Choice container of soup with room to spare. I haven't used the lid so can't say how it will hold up. This mug looks very nice and will match my other dishes. A good quality product.
Finally an oversize mug. I was hoping for a slightly more exciting mug but this is one of the few cheap mugs available from Amazon in a size greater than the standard 1112fl/oz and relatively wide rather than tall. I'll take it.
Great just what I needed Have had these for over 5 years and just purchased two more.I use them mainly for my instant oatmeal in the mornings.It works great for that application. Have also used it forreheating soups veggies and other dishes. I understandsome dismays from other reviews about the lids staining andtheir food overflowing in the microwave but it sounds likesome are reheating them longer than they need to. I usuallyreheat soup for 2 min then take it out stir it and put itback in for 1 more minute. 99% of the time it's perfect.
perfect for what I wanted This is a 20 oz mug and the cans of soup we buy are usually no bigger than 18 oz or so. So there is no worrying about that. I use it a lot for leftover soups from home too. I can put it on a cookie sheet in the oven to cook over some French onion soup and the next day I can use the lid with the steam hole and reheat the soup at work. It's great. I don't have any complaints at all other than the fact it's so breakable. FYI though this is somewhere between $5 & $6 at my local Walmart and Target. So maybe you want to check there before spending this much on one.
Sturdy no spill Great to take to work! I needed something to take lunch to work and this is a great find! I previously had Tupperware and other plastic containers all leaked and got the white crusty nasty stuff on them from being microwaved. I used this at home it did great in the dishwasher and brought my lunch to to work today in it. Lid fits securely. No plastic taste with food. Easy clean and care.
Broken Upon Arrival I bought 3 of these mugs to give out as stocking stuffers around Christmas time. I ordered 3 mugs because I had read other reviews about receiving a broken product and I really only needed 2. The 3 Mugs and a Book that I ordered were all placed in the same box with bubble wrap on them. Sure enough of the 3 Mugs 1 of them had a smashed handle. The way that it was packed the mug was wrapped up pretty tight with bubblewrap and tape and the pieces of the handle were loose in the box. Based on the way it was in the box I wouldn't be surprised if the person packing the box put the mug in after the handle was already smashed off. The return shipping policy is that you the consumer have to pay for shipping. Based on the price of around $10 it doesn't seem to be worth it to pay for shipping.Due to the fragile nature of this item the other reviews that I have read about with the item arriving broken and the return policy. I would not recommend purchasing this item on Amazon. It may be a good product but if it arrives broken due to improper packing its pretty useless. If it breaks that often in shipping it also makes me wonder about the overall quality of the product itself.
Perfect Solution Work Lunches! My coworker recommended this product to me. I had previously used plastic containers and was concerned about the plastic possibly melting while heating in the microwave. I ordered this and true to other reviews no fuss no mess and the handle stays cool.
