Great Tool! Easily the best spider I have purchased. It's large enough to use for a variety of pasta dishes deepfrying dumplingsthe list goes on. Bigger than I thought When I received this I was surprised by the size. But that is my own fault for not looking at the measurements. But it works awesome! I recently started making homemade pasta and I always used a colander to strain my pasta. After watching a million Youtube videos teaching myself how to make the pasta I saw that they used one fo these to drain the pasta.

Stainless Steel Strainer I bought two of these and sent them back. They each had exposed twisted metal wires near the top edge that would make it very hard to clean and were also just looking to cut a finger or two.
Good quality strainer I just got this strainer and I am very happy with how it feels. The steel strainer portion has solid wiring that feels very sturdy. Unless you're picking up something very heavy with this you shouldn't have any problems with using it. The handle is also very solid and heftyfeeling so it feels like quality.It *IS* quite large such that it may not fit in drawers very easily. So if you don't think you'll need a substantial one the 5 inch size might be fine for you. However this guy is barely any more money than its 5 inch counterpart and I didn't want to regret it and buy the small one and find out that the bigger one might have been a better idea to get. Just whip out a ruler and get an idea of the difference between 5 and 7 inches to make the determination for yourself.

Fabulous! I own this spoon in both slotted and solid. I love them both. The spoon is the perfect size as is the handle length. They are very durable and dishwasher safe.
Great Quality I'm very pleased with this spoon. It's very good quality. The surface stays nice looking wash after wash. It feels good in my hand not too heavy or too light. The slots are great for straining out liquids which is what I purchased it for. A another great product from OXO.
HUGE This product is HUGE. I had to send it back. It's much larger than most utensils of this type and much too large for comfortable use with my pans. I gave it four stars because it's perfect if you are looking for larger than normal utensils. It's well designed and the handle is very comfortable to grip.
Functional and aesthetically pleasing I bought this together with another OXO Spoon. Can only repeat what I said in my other review. Spoon is sturdy but not overly heavy. The grip on it makes it very easy to handle. The spoon is very easy to clean and I really like the look of the brushed steel.
handle too long I was looking for solid stainless steel cooking utensils that would be easy to handle. I went with the OXO because I thought it was good quality. It is heavy duty but I find it harder to handle because the handle is too long. I prefer the overall appearance to be smaller. I also don't care for the black grip on the back. I keep my utensils on the stove and I have had some of my plastic utensils melt when I am cooking in the oven. I have hung these on the wall and the black rubber back hasn't melted yet. I didn't realize in the description that these came with a back rubber black otherwise I wouldn't have bought them.
Most useful I do most of my cooking in stainless steel pressure cookers soups chilies stews rice etc. This has a good feel for me being a male and preferring bulk to my utensils although these are deceptively light. I also have it's mates serving spoon turner meat fork. I like the shape of the spoon itself being somewhat elongated. It fits nicely into the round of the pot where the side merges into the floor. I certainly recommend these Oxo kitchen aids to anyone who wants a good product.
Great OXO product I purchased both the slotted and non slotted types. They have quickly become my favorite mixing spoons.I am giving them as presents to friends and family because I like them so much.
A deeper and longer spoon This Oxo provides a deeper spoon than most other stainless steel products and has a nice length. It has a mediumfine point to get to the corners of pans. The lip of the spoon is relatively fine making it easy to cut into firmer dishes like a lasagna.I wanted to avoid BPA in plastic slotted spoons and found it surprisingly difficult to find a stainless steel product that had a deeper scoop. The Rosle and others I tried all had a more shallow spoon which was difficult for some pastas. This Oxo was perfect.
Really Good Product! I purchased this fork along with the spoon with holes the spoon without holes as well as the spatula. All are of exceptional quality. They are made strong and sturdy and happen to be very good looking. They wash extremely well and fill safe and sturdy in my hands. I highly recommend this line of cooking utensils.
Makes a nice cat litter scoop especially for round litter boxes or those with curved contours. It will last much longer than the plastic ones. Once a week I throw it after a preliminary washing in the dishwasher. I tried the slotted spoon with holes but the litter passes through these linear slots much better.

Nice Skimmer This skimmer is of sturdy construction and seems to be rugged enough to last for years with proper care. It's aesthetically pleasing in the way it's constructed the skimmer itself is stainless steel with bamboo handle. I would buy this product again.
Get the 7 Inch not this one. I'll admit it I wasn't paying attention to the size and reviews when I ordered. I thought it would be bigger and it's my fault for the 1 star rating. I hold myself accountable not the product.Ignore all the reviews where everyone says I'm glad I didn't get the bigger one. I can only assume they're speaking out of buyer's remorse too. Well I'm not shy to admit I have remorse and wanted the bigger one.Look if you you boil your pasta in 9.5+ pot like most everyone in the modern world then the 7 Inch spider fits better. The whole purpose of this device is to get as much as possible with one scoop to supplicant the use of a strainer or Colander.The 5 spider is still a well made piece for the price. If you truly want a 5 spider then buy with confidence and in your mind my review can be that of 5 stars.
So far so good! I looked everywhere for this spider strainer and could not find it anywhere. So when I found it so quickly and the speed of the delivery that made it that much better. So far it is holding up wonderfully. The wooden handle is that one thing that comes in handy because when you are cooking extremely hot Chinese food its always nice to NOT burn yourself with your strainer.

Functions as advertised I bought the Joseph Joseph spatula solid spoon and flexible turner. I'm very pleased with them all. The weighted handles work exactly as advertised. They also have enough grip to rest on my pot handles when they're dripping with sauce.
Great for mixing icing I mix a lot of royal icing. This has a nice sturdy handle that doesn't fatigue my hand while mixing and the blade part is sturdy and flexible. I like the length too. Long enough for me to keep icing off my hands while mixing in a two cup Pyrex measuring cup.And of course the fact that it is all one piece is a must in my book. No yucky germs getting into he blade/head.
