Great Quality I'm very pleased with this spoon. It's very good quality. The surface stays nice looking wash after wash. It feels good in my hand not too heavy or too light. The slots are great for straining out liquids which is what I purchased it for. A another great product from OXO.
HUGE This product is HUGE. I had to send it back. It's much larger than most utensils of this type and much too large for comfortable use with my pans. I gave it four stars because it's perfect if you are looking for larger than normal utensils. It's well designed and the handle is very comfortable to grip.
Functional and aesthetically pleasing I bought this together with another OXO Spoon. Can only repeat what I said in my other review. Spoon is sturdy but not overly heavy. The grip on it makes it very easy to handle. The spoon is very easy to clean and I really like the look of the brushed steel.
handle too long I was looking for solid stainless steel cooking utensils that would be easy to handle. I went with the OXO because I thought it was good quality. It is heavy duty but I find it harder to handle because the handle is too long. I prefer the overall appearance to be smaller. I also don't care for the black grip on the back. I keep my utensils on the stove and I have had some of my plastic utensils melt when I am cooking in the oven. I have hung these on the wall and the black rubber back hasn't melted yet. I didn't realize in the description that these came with a back rubber black otherwise I wouldn't have bought them.
Most useful I do most of my cooking in stainless steel pressure cookers soups chilies stews rice etc. This has a good feel for me being a male and preferring bulk to my utensils although these are deceptively light. I also have it's mates serving spoon turner meat fork. I like the shape of the spoon itself being somewhat elongated. It fits nicely into the round of the pot where the side merges into the floor. I certainly recommend these Oxo kitchen aids to anyone who wants a good product.
Great OXO product I purchased both the slotted and non slotted types. They have quickly become my favorite mixing spoons.I am giving them as presents to friends and family because I like them so much.
A deeper and longer spoon This Oxo provides a deeper spoon than most other stainless steel products and has a nice length. It has a mediumfine point to get to the corners of pans. The lip of the spoon is relatively fine making it easy to cut into firmer dishes like a lasagna.I wanted to avoid BPA in plastic slotted spoons and found it surprisingly difficult to find a stainless steel product that had a deeper scoop. The Rosle and others I tried all had a more shallow spoon which was difficult for some pastas. This Oxo was perfect.
Really Good Product! I purchased this fork along with the spoon with holes the spoon without holes as well as the spatula. All are of exceptional quality. They are made strong and sturdy and happen to be very good looking. They wash extremely well and fill safe and sturdy in my hands. I highly recommend this line of cooking utensils.
Makes a nice cat litter scoop especially for round litter boxes or those with curved contours. It will last much longer than the plastic ones. Once a week I throw it after a preliminary washing in the dishwasher. I tried the slotted spoon with holes but the litter passes through these linear slots much better.
