Handle is too long, This is a very nice looking spoon. The problem that I had with it is it is just too long to comfortably cook.
GINORMOUS and beautiful!, This spatula is one of the most glorious things that you can get for your kitchen! It is H.U.M.O.N.G.O.U.S.and sturdy. I can easily stand at one end of my kitchen and reach the other end to make a stir-fry on the stove (which reveals that my kitchen is tiny... but you get the idea). The spatula has a nicely drilled sanded hole through its end. So you can hang it in a place of pride. I could not be happier with a simple kitchen implement. It definitely brings a touch of wild class to my stir-fries and sautés and goes well with my woks and frying pans.
Note that the picture on Amazon is a bit squished and out of proportion. The spatula is a LOT longer and somewhat narrower than it appears in the photograph. The edge is 2.9 inches wide and almost but not quite 17 inches long. I have posted an updated picture. But overall, I highly recommend this spatula. If you must get only one spatula on Amazon, get this island spatula! It's gorgeous!
NB: The first spatula I received was chipped but Amazon sent a replacement in two days flat. 10 stars for customer service.
Durable and attractive, I like this spatula quite well. It can be put in the dishwasher and has maintained it's attractive colors. The handle is a bit wide which took some getting used to, but I recommend it.
Beautiful Giant Spatula, This is not your average small bamboo spatula, this spatula is huge, beautifully crafted, and perfect for larger pots. We have used this for gumbo, soups, stews, and other foods that tend to cook to the bottom of the pot while cooking and it has never failed us. I would recommend this for any people you know who love to cook.
This thing is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!, Like sword duel huge lol JK But seriously, it's a beautiful spatula, love the multi-tone! Very long handle, nice size spatula end too, width and length wise. Will be getting a LOT of use out of this! Would be great using while cooking on a griddle or any pan for that matter...
Pretty decent but not perfect, As others have mentioned the handle is longer than you would expect. Also related and what disappointed me more than the length was the width. It just doesn't seem as wide as I'd like. I understand there are structural things to take into consideration as it's bamboo and not steel or plastic. I just expected it to be a bit wider. It is sturdy and seems like it will last a long time. A shorter handled slightly wider turner would make this a 5 star review.
My Formerly Burnt Wrists Thank you. No Toxic Goop Either., This Spatula has a really long handle. I was running into a problem with
spattering oil burning my wrist. The handle is long enough that my hands
are out of the burn zone.
It's wide enough to make an omelette. Easily cleaned.
One other caveat is that when I left my normal teflon utensil
in the pot propped on the edge the plastic melted on the pan.
I have burn marks on the edge of this utensil but no toxic goop
to clean off.
